Frozen Writing

WALT: Change the genre of Frozen

My Genre: Adventure,Action,Comedy Mixed
Characters: Elsa,Anna,Prince Hans,Olaf
Audience: 5+ Pg-Parental guidance

Blurb: It is winter, Elsa & Anna go out to make a snowman. They don't realise until the very next day that the snowman is alive.

"Do you wanna build a snowman""ok let's go"
Elsa & Anna are outside building a snowman. They are planning to call it Olaf. But little did they know that their annoying neighbour Prince Hans was watching them from his window plotting to murder Elsa. After dinner Elsa & Anna rushed to bed hoping that Olaf would still be there waiting outside for them. Anna was first to wake up, after a second or two she found a white figure standing there smiling he said "Hi I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs". Anna screamed and bolted for the door Olaf just stared at her so she kicked him away, his snow scattering everywhere. It took Olaf five minutes to pick himself up, enough time for Anna to get Elsa."WHAT IS THAT" screamed Elsa "I'm your brand new pet!" replied Olaf "yeah right" and ZAP Elsa caged Olaf with her ice powers. Olaf screamed "LET ME OUT" "but your a pet" said Elsa. Meanwhile Prince Hans was climbing up to the rooms window sill. Olaf was still pleading to be set free, suddenly Prince Hans appeared through the window and said "surrender or I'll kill you, but then again I still will kill you later on, now tell me what do you choose? "I choose to kill you" replied Anna and tried to kick him "hey get off this isn't your fight Anna" said Prince Hans and pushed her away, Elsa made an ice sword and fighter back while that chaos, Anna came with one of her fathers enchanted swords. Anna was about to slay him when she caught her eye on the window and pushed him through the window instead.

Jessie's Art

25.02.14

"Choose your culture,Treat it four ways"

We are learning about the elements and techniques of painting.
We are able to share our cultural identities through the arts.

We have been doing art at school about our cultures.
I choose India and painted a lotus flower.

First we sketched one icon from our culture that we have choosen to do.Then on so stickies we draw a few other icons.
I drew a lotus flower and a peacock but i choose the lotus flower cause it is easy to draw and cause it is the national flower of India.

Next, we learnt about Andy Warhol, an pop artist. He drew everyday items and turned them into colourful art.

We learnt about different colours and styles like e.g: Yellow and Purple are complementary colours.
The primary colours are also very important in the colour wheel
1. Red
2.Yellow
and 3.Blue
they are the primary colours
There are also secondary colours they are colours that you can make with the primary colours
1.Orange
2.Green
and 3.Purple

Next we had to get a A3 peice of paper and rule it up in four even quarters. Next we got our rough copy of our icon and turned it over then we used a drawing pencil to go over the lines in the first box then we repeated it three more times
When we were done we were ready to PAINT!
In the first box we had to paint the icon in complementary colours.
Complementary colours are colours that are oppisite each other on the colour wheel like i said eairlier that yellow and purple are complementary colours cause they face each other.
In the next box we did Black and White now we all know what black and white paintings look like. Now on the next box we did analogous now analogous colours are when three colours that are on the colour wheel are beside each other like for example: Red, Pink and Purple are beside each other so when they are put in a painting together they are called analogous colours. Now for the last box we did monochromatic which is when you use one colour that are different shades so if i do a painting of an icon like the silver fern and i choose the colour pink then i would do light pink, pink and dark pink pinkpinkpink< here is a monochromatic example their is light pink, pink and dark pink.
Last part of my exciting writing is that i would rate myself to be multistructural

Now that is all for now thanks for reading if you have any questions or tips or something then please do not be shy and ask me

here is my W,SW and NW or you can call it my what,so what and now what
What: WALT: To make AWESOME poems like the pro's
So What: I am learning to make different style poems
Now What: learn different styles of writing poems
Now i am going to share my Cherry Blossom poem with you.
The poem i have written is called haiku
Haiku is a chinesse style of writing a poem
                                                                           CHERRY
                                                                         BLOSSOMS
                                                           Polished,glossy blush blossoms
                                                                      Floating peacefully
                                                               Lighting the elegant areas
                                                                            My Me

Most poems have a rhythm like the first line has 7 beats and then the second line would have 5 beats and again the last line has 7 beats. Some people say its 575 but really you don't have to have 575 or 757 beats you just need to chose golden-kind words with 3 lines oh and haiku poems are really easy.
just 3 steps to making the best haiku poem.
STEPS:
1. Find a topic
2. Get words sorted out and beats (if you want beats)
3. Put them together and VALA!
